Deloitte volunteers partnered with Station Stitchers at Cascades Public Library for Impact Day, helping organize, cut, iron, and sew fabric. In just a few hours, Deloitte created many quilts for the Station Stitchers’ community.

Station Stitchers – a group of local seamstresses – has been sewing quilts for more than 15 years delivering over 5,000 of them to local charities. Now, the group is looking to grow its mission even more.

Christina Hume was a devoted Station Stitchers volunteer in Purcellville, VA. After a Navy and Civil Service career, she embraced quilting, creating 152 quilts in 3.5 years—most donated to those in need. Known for her warmth, humility, and generosity, Chris’s legacy of comfort and kindness lives on through her quilts.

Each month, Station Stitchers volunteers gather at Loudoun County libraries to sew, learn, and connect—creating quilts that bring comfort to those in need. All skill levels are welcome, and supplies are provided. Join us to make a difference, one stitch at a time!
