Mission
Since the founding of our organization, Station Stitchers has donated more than 5000 quilts to various under-served individuals within Loudoun County. This year, Station Stitchers impacted over 500 individuals, as well as the families around them. Since we work through other organizations, we never really see each individual recipient, but we hear anecdotally on the impact of our contribution. Families of hospital patients, foster care workers, etc. give us feedback on the depth of the response that a quilt can have on its recipient. They always come back for more and ask us to keep doing what we are doing.

Strategic Plan 2025
In December, Station Stitchers hosted a strategic planning off-site with volunteers and board members to shape the future of our organization. Building on the four key pillars from our 2021–2023 plan, we explored ways to enhance communication, expand volunteer participation, and strengthen community outreach. Each attendee committed to taking action on one initiative to support these pillars in 2025.
Pillar One
Provide high-quality and make quilts to local organizations serving people in need.
Pillar Two
Transition to a self-funded nonprofit organization.
Pillar Three
Standardize operating procedures for more efficient quilt production.
Pillar Four
Encourage new volunteers through training, clear guidelines, and community participation.
Our 2024 Impact
Thank you for all of your efforts to make 2024 another successful year. Our volunteers logged a total of 5,782 hours in 2024 and donated 661 quilts. Thank you so much for generously volunteering your time in support of Station Stitchers.
